Already certified? Skip the classroom. Spend a morning freediving some of the best sites in the Gulf of Thailand with Diego Pauel as your personal guide and depth coach. Whether you want to push your personal best, refine your equalization, or simply dive with barracuda and batfish, every session is tailored to what you want from the day.
Fun dives run Tuesday and Wednesday at Sail Rock, and Thursday at Koh Tao. You will get technique feedback at depth, encounter marine life up close, and come back with professional photos and video of your dives.

Line Training and Depth Coaching
Diego Pauel sets a line at your chosen depth and coaches you dive by dive. You get feedback on your duck dive, body position, equalization timing, and turn technique. This is focused training for freedivers who want to go deeper or clean up their form.

Guided Fun Dives
Explore Sail Rock's vertical chimney, swim alongside schooling barracuda, or drift over coral gardens at Koh Tao. Diego Pauel guides you to the best spots at each site while keeping safety protocols in place throughout.
Ideal for marine life encounters
Combined Sessions
Mix depth training with fun diving in a single session. Spend the first half working the line, then use the second half exploring the site. Most divers choose this option because it covers both goals in one trip.

Where You Will Dive
Two world-class dive sites, both accessed directly from Koh Samui by speedboat. No ferries, no crowds.
Sail Rock
The Gulf of Thailand's most famous dive site. A submerged pinnacle rising from 30 meters to just below the surface, roughly one hour by speedboat from Koh Samui. The rock features a vertical chimney that you can swim through on a single breath.
Marine life here is consistent year round. Expect large schools of barracuda, batfish, trevally, and grouper. During whale shark season (roughly March to June), sightings are common. Visibility ranges from 10 to 25 meters depending on conditions.
Koh Tao
Some of the best reef diving in Southeast Asia, accessed directly from Koh Samui without the 2 hour ferry. Crystal clear water, warm temperatures all year, and diverse marine life from turtles to reef sharks.
Multiple sites around Koh Tao offer different depths and conditions, so Diego Pauel selects the best spot based on your experience level and the day's weather. Shallow reefs start at 5 meters and walls drop to 25 meters and beyond.

A Typical Day
Out by 9, back by 1. The rest of the day is yours.
Meet at the Pier
Meet Diego Pauel at the departure pier on Koh Samui. Equipment is already loaded on the boat. Quick briefing on the plan for the day.
Depart Koh Samui
Head out on the speedboat toward Sail Rock or Koh Tao. The ride takes roughly one hour and crosses open water with views of the surrounding islands.
Arrive and Gear Up
Enter the water. Diego Pauel sets the line if you want depth coaching, or leads you on guided dives around the site. Safety briefing and buddy checks before the first dive.
Diving Session
Two and a half hours of diving with proper surface intervals. Work on depth, explore the site, photograph marine life. Diego Pauel captures your dives on camera throughout.
Return to Koh Samui
Back at the pier by early afternoon. Diego Pauel shares photos and video within 24 hours. The rest of the day is yours to explore the island.
What Is Included
Everything is covered in the price. You just need swimwear and sunscreen.
All Equipment
Mask, snorkel, long freediving fins, wetsuit, weight belt, and nose clip. Professional grade gear, fitted to you.
Boat Trip
Return speedboat transport from Koh Samui to Sail Rock or Koh Tao. No ferry tickets or extra transport costs.
Depth Coaching
Personalized technique feedback on every dive. Duck dive, equalization, body position, and turn coaching from a certified instructor.
Photos and Videos
Diego Pauel films your dives throughout the session. All photos and video files are shared with you within 24 hours.
Diego Pauel
Diego Pauel has been teaching freediving from Koh Samui since 2021. He holds instructor certification from Apnea Total and additional credentials from the Oxygen Advantage, Breatheology, and International Breathwork Foundation programs.
On fun dives, he is not just a guide. He is in the water with you on every dive, coaching your technique, setting lines at your target depth, and capturing it all on camera. Sessions are limited to 3 divers so you get real attention, not a cattle boat experience.

Requirements
Freediving Certification
You must hold a valid freediving certification from any recognized agency. Apnea Total, AIDA, SSI, PADI Freediver, or equivalent. Bring your certification card or proof of completion.
Comfortable in Open Water
You should be comfortable swimming in the ocean, managing surface intervals, and diving to at least 10 meters. If you have not been in the water for a while, let Diego Pauel know and he will adjust the session.
