What to Expect
A full day of spearfishing from Koh Samui. Here is how it typically plays out.
Meet at the Pier
Meet Diego Pauel at the departure pier on Koh Samui. All equipment is loaded on the boat. Quick briefing on safety, spearfishing technique, and the plan for the day.
Depart by Speedboat
Leave Koh Samui and head to the fishing grounds. Diego Pauel selects the best location based on conditions, season, and what species are running. Travel time varies from 30 minutes to over an hour depending on the destination.
Gear Up and Enter the Water
Suit up with speargun, mask, fins, and wetsuit. If you are new to spearfishing, Diego Pauel covers breath hold technique, how to approach fish, and how to use the speargun safely before you enter the water.
Hunt Across Multiple Spots
A full day of hunting across multiple spots. You rotate between diving and resting on the boat. Diego Pauel dives with you, points out fish, and coaches your technique throughout. Lunch break on the boat between sessions.
Return with Your Catch
Head back to the pier with your catch. Diego Pauel cleans and prepares the fish on the way back. He can recommend local restaurants that will cook your fish for you that evening.

All Equipment
Spearguns, masks, snorkels, long freediving fins, wetsuits, weight belts, and fish stringers. You just need swimwear and sun protection.
Private Boat Charter
The boat is yours for the full day. No sharing with other groups. Diego Pauel and the captain take you to the best spots and move when conditions change.
Instruction
Diego Pauel teaches breath hold technique, fish identification, approach tactics, and speargun handling. Coaching continues throughout the day for all experience levels.
Safety
Emergency oxygen on board. Diego Pauel holds certifications in emergency first aid and oxygen administration. One up, one down buddy protocol at all times.
You Keep What You Catch
Everything you spear is yours to take home. Diego Pauel cleans and prepares the fish on the boat ride back. He can also recommend restaurants on Koh Samui that will cook your catch for you that same evening.
