About Hin Sampayu

Hin Sampayu off Koh Sichang is the closest diving destination to Bangkok, making it a viable day trip from the capital. The highlight is a purple anemone garden at approximately 5m depth with resident clownfish. Pipefish, various nudibranchs, and blue-spotted stingrays can be found in the sand. The best marine life is in the shallower sections — below 16m, conditions deteriorate.

Tips

The shallow section (above 10m) has all the action. Don't waste time going deep.
