About Chaloklum Bay
Chaloklum Bay is a large, calm bay on Koh Phangan's north coast, home to the island's main fishing village. The bay has a sandy bottom with scattered rocky patches where reef fish congregate. It's a popular spot for night snorkeling when squid are attracted to lights. The bay serves as a launch point for boats heading to Koh Ma and other northwest sites.
Tips
Try a night snorkel with a torch — squid hunting is fun here. Also a good calm-water freedive training spot.
