Chumphon Pinnacle is a chain of submerged granite boulders northwest of Koh Tao, with the shallowest point at 12m and sheer drops to 40m+. The pinnacles are blanketed in pink and purple anemones, creating an otherworldly landscape. This is one of the few sites in the Gulf where bull sharks are occasionally spotted. Giant groupers exceeding 2m are resident, and whale sharks visit during plankton blooms in March–May.
