About Koh Madsum (Pig Island)

Koh Madsum — known as Pig Island — is a tiny tropical island where pot-bellied pigs roam the beach. The snorkeling is shallow and easy in the channel between Madsum and Koh Tan, making it ideal for families and absolute beginners. While the marine life isn't as impressive as Koh Tao, it's a fun, relaxed day trip from our Samui base.

Tips

Visit the pigs first, then snorkel toward Koh Tan where the reef is better. We combine both islands in one trip.

Experience Required

None. Family-friendly.
