About Koh Tan

Koh Tan is a small, forested island just off Koh Samui's south coast — the closest proper snorkeling destination from our home base. The northern reef stretches between Koh Tan and tiny Koh Madsum, with healthy coral patches harboring turtles, stingrays, and a variety of reef fish. The island has a few homestays but remains largely undeveloped, offering a genuine escape from Samui's tourism.

Tips

We run trips here regularly. Combine with Koh Madsum for a full day. Best snorkeling on the north/northeast side.

Experience Required

None. Perfect for beginners and families.
