About Sai Daeng

Sai Daeng is a picturesque bay on Koh Tao's south coast, known for its reddish sand (from iron-rich granite erosion) and healthy reef system. The bay offers a nice mix of sandy patches and coral gardens, with regular turtle encounters and schools of reef fish. It's less crowded than nearby Shark Island while offering similar marine life.

Tips

Good alternative when Shark Island has too much current. Nice topside scenery too.
