Sairee Reef extends from the main beach on Koh Tao's west coast. Simply walk in with your mask and fins from the beach and you're on the reef within minutes. Despite its accessibility, the reef harbors seahorses, ghost pipefish, and an impressive variety of nudibranchs. It's the go-to shore dive for sunset sessions and night dives.

Tips

Night dive here for octopus hunting and bioluminescence. Watch for boat traffic when surfacing.
