About Khanom Coast

Die Khanom-Küste in der Provinz Nakhon Si Thammarat ist Heimat von rund 50 Indopazifischen Buckeldelfinen, lokal wegen ihres rosa Hauttons „rosa Delfine“ genannt. Diese gefährdeten Wale sieht man am besten vor 8 Uhr, vor allem bei Laem Prathab und Ao Kwang Phao. Die Gegend hat keine etablierte Tauchinfrastruktur — sie dient vor allem als Ziel für die Delfinbeobachtung und als Ausgangspunkt für Liveaboard-Trips nach Koh Kra.

Tips

Komm vor Sonnenaufgang für die besten Chancen, Delfine zu sehen. Laem Prathab und Ao Kwang Phao sind die Hotspots.
